Executive Summary

Overall Summary

Sprint status is excellent. The Product Team had prioritized the following themes and tasks for Sprint 145 comprising 30 points. This sprint contained the Thanksgiving holiday impacting potential sprint velocity. Themes for the sprint included -

  • Partner and Community support
    • Forum discussions
    • Support for Federal Agencies implementations( VA, DoD, CMS, SSA)
    • Community Support
  • Release 4.4 Preparation
    • Resolve any final defects (Regression and Interoperability)
    • Testing (Feature, Install, Interop,Regression, NIST)
    • Documentation
    • Close completed Release 4.4 User Stories( Direct, Admin GUI, Direct)
    • Create Release Candidate RC2 binaries
  • Support any CMS X12 Testing activities
  • Healtheway Certification support and issue resolution
  • Complete prep for Partner Release 4.4 demonstration

The team completed 37 points during the sprint and are well positioned to meet the scheduled release date for CONNECT 4.4.

The team completed regression and interoperabiltiy testing, feature testing and successfully install tested the release candidate RC2 as well as made great progress on the documentation updates for the release.

Partner and Community support

  • Reviewed 4.4 findings with the SCQC team. Scheduled follow-up meeting with team to discuss Find Bugs and wrap-up the 4.4 testing effort.(CONN-1530)

Release Prep, Testing and documentation this sprint

  • Fixed Trust Bundle drop down update issue where in after uploading the Trust Bundles, the Edit Domain->Trust Bundles drop down was not displaying the updated configuration and was requiring a restart of the Admin GUI application. (CONN-1531)
  • All Direct user stories were completed, validated and closed.
  • Installation testing
    • Tested Legacy GUIs on GlassFish, using build from source (CONN-1529, CONN-1523)
    • Generate RC2 binaries and RC2 testing (CONN- 1515, CONN-1517)
      • During installation and validation testing there were a few new issues related to Admin GUI that were discovered and included in RC2. These included tickets CONN-1508,CONN-1510,CONN-1511,CONN-1531,CONN-1524, CONN-1375 and CONN-1513. All the installs were not retested with the latest RC2 tag since the updates were mainly related to the Admin GUI and Direct, but a more focused testing approach was used as defined in CONN-1517. 
    • Successfully installation tested CONNECT 4.4 on JBoss(Red Hat Linux) using source install (CONN-1469)

  • All improvements and bug fixes were re-tested post release candidate(CONN-1250)
    • CONN-1544 was created in the product backlog related to Semantics Text issue for MatchCriterionList elements
  • Successfully validated X12 Document Submission test cases on JBoss application server(CONN-1414)
  • Successfully validated Admin GUI on WebLogic using IE(CONN-1407)
  • Successfully validated Admin GUI on WebSphere Sparc using IE(CONN-1406)
  • Successfully validated X12 DS on JBoss (CONN-1414)
  • Successfully tested Admin GUI using Chrome browser(CONN-1182)
  • Executed an end to end transaction testing for standard mode(CONN-1543). 
    • Discovered an issue with the QD in standard mode when the patient correlations database is being utilized(CONN-1554 will be addressed post release)
  •  4.4 was interoperability tested against prior supported versions - WL 4.4 (Hub) to the following nodes: Release 4.2.2.2, WAS 4.3.2 and Release 3.3.1.3
