Summary

 Sprint status is excellent. The Product Team had prioritized the following themes and tasks for Sprint 153 comprising 31 points  - 

  • Partner and Community support
    –  Forum discussions
    –  Support for the Federal Agencies
    –  Community support
  • HIMSS Demo
    • Client front end design/UI mockup and branding
    • Service architecture
    • Implementing services
    • Demo script with data loading/test data
  • X12 Audit 
    – Begin development

The team completed 31 points, 2 tickets were pulled in later during the sprint and will be looked at next sprint. The team has the HIMSS demo components complete, and will continue to work on integration and data for the demo in the upcoming sprint.

Partner and Community Support

  • The team continued to support the community via the CONNECT forum.
  • The team discussed the hl7 attribute scoping issue at the spec factory and is looking for guidance/direction on the specification interpretation and implementation. The CONNECT team was asked to validate whether CONNECT supports both qualified and unqualified versions of the attribute as the Responding gateway. Created CONN-1602 for validation.
  • The team provided some initial feedback and further questions regarding issue that was brought up by CMS related to gateway-adapter and payloads. It is not clear at this point whether there is an issue at the gateway. The team has asked CMS for more information and to create a ticket with the relevant logs. 

CONNECT Development

  • Team developed HIMSS demo components utilizing Universal Client and CONNECT adapters with FHIR integration to demonstrate PD,QD,RD workflow between two gateway systems. 
    • Created REST/FHIR adapters for the Patient Discovery, Document Query, and Document Retrieve RESTful services in the plugin repository 
    • Created Binary resource server to load binary documents to use for demo. 
    • Created scripts for loading patient/document data into HAPI server to be used for demo at HIMSS.
    • Created a FHIR resource configuration page in the System Administration Module to demonstrate/configure FHIR resources

  • Created a tool in the System Administration module to test PD, QD and RD services for a targeted query.

    • This tool leveraged  the legacy Universal Client and enhanced it with the Admin GUI look and feel, code was also refactored in the process.
    • This tool demonstrates the PD, QD and RD services when querying for patient health data from a remote gateway
    • This tool is developed in Pass-through mode and will be enhanced for Standard mode in future iterations.
  • Installed and set up demo servers
  • Started work on the audit service for real time X12 transactions..
