CONNECT secures informations over a computer network through two layers.  One is through Transport Layer Security (TLS) with X509 certificate and the other is through Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML).   CONNECT also can be configured to run in FIPS 140-2 environments to comply the US government computer security standard.  Below are several different configurations that CONNECT supports:
